  • Summary Card: 200×200px minimum (square)

Required Meta Tags

Twitter reads twitter:* tags first, then falls back to Open Graph tags:

html
<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image" />
<meta name="twitter:title" content="Your Page Title" />
<meta name="twitter:description" content="Brief description of your page" />
<meta name="twitter:image" content="https://example.com/image-1200x675.jpg" />
<meta name="twitter:site" content="@yourhandle" />

Key Differences from Facebook

  • • Twitter uses 16:9 ratio (1.78:1), not 1.91:1
  • • Max file size is 5MB (vs Facebook's 8MB)
  • • The twitter:card tag is required
  • • Use name attribute, not property
